A Minimalist Elopement by Boat on the Shores of Lake Como
Photographed by Pawel Gaj
For some couples, the idea of a grand celebration fades in favour of something quieter, more intimate — and undeniably cinematic. Klaudia and Wojtek’s wedding, photographed by Pawel Gaj, was just that: a minimalist escape to Lake Como, where the beauty of the landscape did all the talking.
The ceremony took place at Parco Civico Teresio, an ivy-draped terrace with sweeping lake views. With no elaborate setup, the setting was stripped back but powerful. A quiet moment suspended in soft, Italian light.
They spent the rest of the afternoon wandering the sculpted gardens and grand interiors of Villa Melzi. Her look — a clean, architectural gown paired with a pearl necklace and sheer veil — felt modern but enduring. His, a relaxed suit in soft beige, was understated and sharp. Together, they looked completely at ease in the space, letting the architecture and landscape echo their sense of calm.
There was no performance, no excess — just intention, light, and design. A minimalist wedding not only in aesthetic, but in spirit.
