An Beautifully Minimal Wedding at a Puglian Masseria

Photographed by Louise Griffin

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when a couple embraces simplicity with total confidence—and Megan and Colin’s wedding at Masseria Monitilli was exactly that kind of magic. Set against the raw sunlit textures of Puglia’s countryside, this celebration was less about overstated grandeur and more about intention, elegance, and a touch of irreverent fun.

From the moment Megan stepped out in her scalloped-edge gown and white heels—veil draped effortlessly, sunglasses firmly on—it was clear this day was going to be different. The bride’s look, at once fashion-forward and relaxed, captured the tone of the entire event. Photographer Louise Griffin put it perfectly: “It was one of those weddings that you just didn’t want to end.”

The ceremony took place beneath the Apulian sun, with simple white chairs set on warm stone, flanked by clouds of baby’s breath and lisianthus. Each seat held a paper fan, embossed with the couple’s initials—a chic and thoughtful nod to the heat.

Reception dining unfolded in the courtyard of the masseria, where long tables stretched between traditional trulli rooftops. Florals remained tonal and airy—white blooms, wild sprigs of greenery—paired with crystal glassware and handwritten menus that hinted at the couple’s love for detail. As the sky turned indigo, the newlyweds shared their first dance under string lights, smiles wide, eyes only on each other.
