Modern Desert Romance at Baja Luna in Cabo

Photographed by Xico Gutierrez

Under the Baja sun, Kayla and James celebrated their wedding at Baja Luna, a venue set against the raw beauty of Cabo’s desert landscape. Photographer Xico Gutierrez described it as “the kind of celebration that lingers in your memory… full of emotion, beauty, and sun-soaked magic.” With clean architectural lines and sweeping outdoor spaces, the setting allowed their day to feel at once modern, intimate, and deeply personal — the kind of location that makes you want to linger long after the last song.

The morning unfolded in quiet anticipation, the couple surrounded by their closest friends. Kayla’s sleek off-the-shoulder gown and long gloves brought a refined edge, while James looked timeless in a black tuxedo. When they saw each other for the first time, it was less about the grand gesture and more about the ease of two people completely at home together. As Xico shared, “Their love radiated in every glance, every laugh, every quiet touch.”

For the ceremony, the striking white structure at Baja Luna framed the moment with sculptural simplicity. Kamala’s floral design echoed the landscape — sculptural white blooms and trailing greenery that felt organic without being overdone. The warm Cabo light spilled across the aisle as the couple exchanged vows, creating a setting that will inspire anyone dreaming of a wedding in Mexico.

As the sun dipped low, guests gathered for a candlelit reception under strings of lights. Long wooden tables were set with minimalist arrangements of calla lilies and floating candles, creating a soft glow against the night sky. It was a space that felt as natural for an intimate toast as it did for the joyful rhythm of dancing barefoot on the grass.

Reflecting on the day, Xico said, “It was clear: this wasn’t just a wedding, it was a celebration of soulmates, of presence, and of something beautifully timeless.” For couples seeking a balance of contemporary design, organic styling, and the magic of a destination celebration, Baja Luna offers exactly that — a place where the desert meets the sea, and where every moment feels both grounded and unforgettable.
