About Masía Casa Del Mar
Originally built in the 14th century and once the summer residence of King Alfonso XIII, Casa del Mar is steeped in royal history and grandeur. Today, it has been reimagined as a secluded and sustainable estate, surrounded by the rugged cliffs and pine forests of the Garraf coastline. Its name, “House of the Sea,” is no misnomer, the property commands sweeping views of the Mediterranean and radiates a calmness that suits both refined destination weddings and intimate, laid-back gatherings.
The estate’s architectural character blends classic Mediterranean materials with minimalist modern renovations. Interiors are understated and luminous, framed by stone, terracotta, and sea-facing terraces. With exclusive hire only, Casa del Mar accommodates up to 400 guests for celebrations and 12 overnight in six sea-view suites. A minimum stay is generally required and ensures total privacy for the duration of your wedding.

Ceremonies at Casa del Mar take place in a purpose-built outdoor area closest to the sea. Sheltered by nature and open to the horizon, it is a serene and dramatic setting for civil or symbolic vows, with space for up to 400 guests. While there is no chapel on-site, the venue is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers coordination with experienced local planners and celebrants to ensure a bespoke and legally recognised service where required.
Do keep in mind that due to the estate’s coastal position, wind can be a factor – particularly on cooler days in the shoulder season. It’s advisable to consider this in your ceremony planning.
Receptions & Celebrations
Weddings here unfold as a series of moments across multiple distinctive spaces. Aperitifs and cocktails begin at Aire Space, where an infinity pool and panoramic sea views create an effortless welcome. Dinner may follow in Mar Space, a large seafront terrace ideal for al fresco dining beneath the stars. For larger banquets or events requiring indoor flexibility, Sky Space provides a climate-controlled environment with generous capacity and clean, modern lines.
Late-night celebrations continue in the soundproofed indoor nightclub, which accommodates dancing for up to 190 guests. The adjacent Chill-Out area, surrounded by palm trees and ambient lighting, offers a quieter place to gather, while a versatile Patio space can be adapted for discos, lounge setups, or even a supervised play area for children. The flow of the estate encourages a wedding day that feels relaxed yet thoughtfully choreographed.
Outdoor music and festivities must conclude by 11 pm in accordance with local noise regulations. After this time, celebrations can continue indoors.
The nightclub comes pre-equipped with an in-house sound system, which must be used exclusively. Couples should factor this into their planning and budget.
