A Playful Mediterranean Celebration at Mas Torroella

Photographed by Patty Wijas

Mas Torroella, a historic estate on Spain’s Costa Brava, became the backdrop for a wedding that felt both stylish and joyfully relaxed. Every detail leaned into the charm of summer in the Mediterranean—vibrant, abundant, and a little bit unexpected.

Guests were welcomed with a playful citrus-themed seating chart set against the estate’s textured stone walls. Oranges and lemons tumbled from wooden crates, adding a splash of colour and personality before the celebrations even began.

The ceremony took place on a stone terrace framed by arches and wild floral arrangements. Creamy roses, fresh greens, and bright yellow and orange blooms created a look that felt more like a garden growing up the columns than a traditional floral installation.

The bride wore a minimalist satin dress with sheer pleated sleeves, finished with a veil scattered with tiny pearls. Her bouquet felt loose and full of movement, picking up the same fresh tones as the ceremony flowers without looking over-styled.

Dinner was served under a sailcloth tent glowing with warm lights. Tables were set with woven chargers, patterned plates, hand-painted menus, and bowls of fresh grapes and limes—nothing too formal, but every detail carefully considered.

Guests were invited to cool off with paper fans and parasols before the dancing began, a thoughtful touch that added to the easy, feel-good atmosphere. From start to finish, this wedding felt like an effortless celebration of everything that makes a Mediterranean summer so irresistible.
