Mas Torroella is a private Catalan manor house set within the Gavarres Natural Park, close to the Costa Brava coastline and some of the region’s most atmospheric towns. At its centre is a restored 14th-century estate, where exposed stone, vaulted interiors and ancient ruins give the venue a strong sense of place without feeling overly formal. This is a Costa Brava wedding venue built for more than a single-day event. With accommodation for up to 30 guests across the estate and space for celebrations of up to 200, Mas Torroella works especially well for couples planning a destination wedding with time to settle in — from welcome drinks and poolside moments to the wedding day itself and a slower farewell the following morning.

Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Mas Torroella are defined by contrast: the architecture of the old manor house, the softness of the gardens, and the more dramatic presence of the estate’s ancient ruins. Symbolic and religious ceremonies are often hosted on the grounds, while legal civil ceremonies are usually arranged nearby in Begur, Palafrugell or Girona.
The estate offers several ceremony settings, each with a different atmosphere rather than simply a different view.
The Ancient Ruins
The most distinctive ceremony setting on the estate. Raw, historic and open to the landscape, it brings a sense of drama without needing much additional styling.
The Entry Hall
A more architectural option, framed by vaulted ceilings and stonework. It suits a ceremony with a quieter, more enclosed feeling, particularly when the weather calls for an indoor setting.
The Secret Forest
Set among the trees, this space feels more private and nature-led. It offers a softer alternative to the ruins, with shade, texture and a sense of retreat.
The variety of settings gives couples room to shape the ceremony around the season, guest count and overall tone of the celebration.

Receptions
A wedding at Mas Torroella feels expansive but contained — the experience of a private estate, with enough distinct spaces for the day to move naturally from one chapter to the next.
After the ceremony, guests typically gather by the pool beneath the Pergola, where the first part of the celebration feels relaxed and social. It is an easy space for aperitifs and canapés, with the pool, gardens and house all close enough to keep the atmosphere connected.
Dinner can move into one of several garden settings, depending on the scale and mood of the event. The Main Garden, Sunset Garden, Events Garden and Italian Garden each offer a different way to frame the meal, from larger open-air dining to more intimate garden-led setups. Long tables work especially well here, giving dinner the feeling of a shared gathering rather than a formal banquet.
As the evening shifts, the celebration can continue outdoors or move inside to the Events Hall. This gives the venue useful flexibility for cooler months, later-night dancing or a more contained party atmosphere. The strength of Mas Torroella is in this movement: the day never feels fixed to one backdrop, but still belongs clearly to the estate.
The venue does not have an in-house planner, but couples may work with their own planner or ask the estate for recommended local professionals familiar with the property.
Staying on Site
Accommodation at Mas Torroella is a central part of the experience, allowing close family or key guests to stay together on the estate across the wedding days. In total, the property sleeps up to 30 guests across the main house and La Caseta.
The Main House
The main house includes 11 individually styled bedrooms, with a design approach that balances Catalan heritage and contemporary comfort. Traditional stonework, timber beams and neutral interiors create a calm, refined atmosphere, while modern en suite bathrooms and high-quality linens keep the stay comfortable.
La Caseta
La Caseta is a more private option within the estate grounds. Originally the groundskeeper’s cottage, it has been restored with two double bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, alongside an open-plan kitchen, living area and furnished terrace with a chill-out space.
Together, the accommodation supports the feeling of a private destination wedding house party — close enough for guests to feel connected, but with enough separation for slower moments between events.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Mas Torroella is shaped by flexibility and place. Rather than working from fixed packages, couples have access to a curated list of local caterers who understand the estate and the food culture of Catalonia.
This makes the dining experience feel closely tied to the setting. Aperitifs might unfold by the pool, dinner may be held beneath the Pergola or in one of the gardens, and a more relaxed meal — such as a BBQ or paella-style gathering — can become part of the wider wedding weekend. The venue’s layout gives food a natural rhythm, from casual daytime meals to a more atmospheric evening reception.
The approach suits couples who want the freedom to shape the menu around their own tastes while still keeping a strong regional connection. Here, food feels generous, social and woven into the pace of the stay.
