Among the Olive Trees of Tuscany: Wedding at Podere Calvaiola
Photographed by Anne De Geyter
In the heart of the Tuscan countryside, Podere Calvaiola set the scene for a wedding that felt deeply personal and effortlessly grounded. Captured by photographer Beatrice Andreoni, the celebration unfolded with quiet beauty—where a historic farmhouse, soft summer light, and thoughtful details came together in perfect rhythm. It’s the kind of wedding that lingers in memory for its sincerity.
The couple exchanged vows under open skies, surrounded by sweeping views and sculptural floral arrangements in soft pastels and creamy whites. The ceremony backdrop—crafted from wild greenery and seasonal blooms—blended seamlessly into the golden landscape, creating a scene as serene as it was stunning.
The bride wore a structured strapless gown with a full skirt and minimal detailing, letting the silhouette speak for itself. Her look was complemented by relaxed curls and soft makeup, perfectly echoing the wedding’s understated, refined tone. The groom, dressed in a pale suit, mirrored the aesthetic—laid-back yet utterly polished.
Guests gathered for dinner at two long banquet tables set on the lawn, framed by the rustic stone façade of Podere Calvaiola and beautifully decorated by the in-house wedding planner Barbara. As day turned to night, the space transformed under the glow of string lights and candle-filled hurricanes, creating a cinematic ambiance for toasts, laughter, and al fresco dining under the stars.
Every detail was considered. From miniature bottles of olive oil as thoughtful wedding favours to personalised vow books and a towering floral wedding cake, the styling celebrated both Italian tradition and modern storytelling. Even the couple’s golden retriever made a sweet appearance, adorned with flowers to match the ceremony arch.
This Tuscan wedding leaned into a quieter kind of beauty—the kind that lives on in soft textures, lingering glances, and the rustle of cypress trees in the late summer wind.
