An Elegant Garden Wedding in San Miguel with Whimsical Mexican Flair

When Dani and Andrés first crossed paths during a spontaneous trip to San Miguel de Allende, neither of them could have predicted they’d be back thirteen years later—this time, to celebrate their wedding in the very town where it all began. What started as a serendipitous meeting on Mexican Independence Day became the beginning of an inseparable bond.

With its lush gardens, winding stone paths, and ethereal light, Luna Escondida offered a dreamlike setting that felt both intimate and extraordinary. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones who had traveled far to witness a celebration deeply rooted in place and memory. “They decided that San Miguel would be the perfect place to celebrate,” shares photographer Carolina Muñoz, “offering a wonderful experience for all their loved ones.”

The bride wore a textured off-the-shoulder gown that shimmered with quiet elegance, paired with bold cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik heels—a playful nod to tradition with a dash of fashion-forward edge. Her bouquet, a sculptural cluster of fresh white tulips, echoed the floral detailing of her dress and the all-white palette of the day.

Inside the glass-walled conservatory, dinner unfolded under grand chandeliers wrapped in trailing greenery. The tablescape was crisp and modern—long white tables, airy linen, sculptural floral arrangements, and natural wood chairs softened the clean architectural lines of the space. Outside, traditional Mexican mojigangas (giant papier-mâché puppets) brought whimsy to the reception, playfully towering over guests and newlyweds alike.

From oysters on ice to joyful spins on the lawn and late-afternoon kisses beneath ivy-covered arches, this wedding was less about extravagance and more about meaning—rooted in a shared history and designed to feel like home.
