An Intimately Elegant Tuscan Wedding
Set in the Tuscan countryside, this wedding at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco was a study in refined simplicity. The couple focused on an effortless aesthetic – elegant but understated – allowing the venue’s historic charm to take precedence. Captured by Luis Mendoza, the day unfolded with a natural flow, from a quiet morning in the villa to an intimate candlelit dinner in the estate’s dining hall.

The CEREMONY
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is a 5,000-acre estate in Val d’Orcia, known for its restored medieval village, vineyards, and private villas. With its historic chapel, panoramic views, and impeccable design, the venue offers a balance of grandeur and intimacy. The landscape -cypress-lined roads, terracotta rooftops, and endless vineyards—sets a distinct sense of place.

The wedding
The bride got ready in one of the estate’s villas, surrounded by antique furnishings and soft natural light. She wore a structured silk gown with a sculptural bow and a pearl headband, keeping the look polished and timeless. The ceremony took place outdoors, framed by minimalist white florals that blended seamlessly into the surroundings.
Dinner was hosted in the venue’s dining hall, where the warmth of candlelight and the patina of aged stone created an atmosphere both intimate and atmospheric. Guests gathered around long tables, sharing a menu centred around regional flavours.

The details
Every element was carefully considered without feeling overly styled. The tablescape featured vintage glassware, botanical linens, and soft candlelight. Stationery incorporated custom illustrations of the estate, and favours – bottles of house-pressed olive oil – kept the details personal and connected to the setting.
The wedding struck the right balance between elegance and ease, fitting seamlessly into its Tuscan surroundings.
