Boturich Castle & Pavilion is a private wedding venue on the banks of Loch Lomond, set within a 19th-century estate in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. The setting is unmistakably Scottish: loch water, open lawns, woodland and hills, with the castle grounds giving the day privacy and scale. At the centre of the wedding experience is the Pavilion, a purpose-built glass-walled event space with floor-to-ceiling windows, timber beams, chandeliers, a contemporary bar and panoramic views across the water. With exclusive use of the grounds, capacity for up to 200 dining guests and a further 50 evening guests, Boturich suits couples who want Highland scenery with a polished, weather-ready reception space.

Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Boturich Castle & Pavilion are defined by the landscape. The estate is licensed for marriages and civil partnerships, with both indoor and outdoor options supported by the on-site team. A dedicated preparation space is available for the couple and wedding party, giving the morning a private base within the estate.
Castle Grounds
Outdoor ceremonies take place across the lawns, with Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills forming the setting. The space has a wide, open quality, allowing flexible layouts while keeping the view central.
The Pavilion
For an indoor ceremony or weather plan, the Pavilion keeps guests close to the landscape through its glass walls and loch-facing outlook. It offers shelter without losing the feeling of being surrounded by the National Park.
Covered Balcony
The Pavilion’s balcony provides a sheltered space for guest arrivals, post-ceremony drinks or quieter moments in changeable weather.
The wedding coordinator supports layout, timings, music cues and guest flow, helping the ceremony move naturally into the drinks reception without the day feeling over-managed.

Receptions
Receptions at Boturich are built around the Pavilion and its direct relationship with Loch Lomond. The celebration can move from ceremony to drinks on the balcony or lawns, then into dinner and dancing without losing sight of the water.
The Pavilion hosts up to 200 guests for dining, with space for a further 50 evening guests. Inside, floor-to-ceiling glass, exposed timber beams, crystal chandeliers and a contemporary bar create a setting that feels formal enough for a wedding meal but still closely tied to the landscape.
The covered balcony works well for champagne, canapés and conversation, particularly when the weather is unpredictable. In warmer conditions, guests can spill out onto the lawns for photographs, drinks and views across the loch.
As evening falls, the Pavilion shifts into a party space with a flexible layout for live bands or DJs. The integrated bar and purpose-built banqueting kitchen keep service smooth throughout dinner and the evening. Fireworks are permitted and can be arranged over the loch, subject to the venue’s guidance and supplier coordination.
Staying on Site
Boturich Castle is a private family home and does not offer overnight accommodation. Its focus is the estate, grounds and Pavilion rather than a full residential venue, so couples usually base guests nearby around Loch Lomond, Balloch or Glasgow.
Balloch is around five minutes away by car and offers hotels, inns and private rentals, including options such as Balloch House, the Tullie Inn and Queen of the Loch. Cameron House, on the shores of Loch Lomond, offers a higher-end hotel stay nearby, while Dumbarton also has practical hotel options.
For groups wanting to stay together, Auchendennan Farm sleeps up to 41 guests across 14 cottages on the west side of the loch. South Lodge, less than ten minutes from Boturich, accommodates up to 10 guests and includes a garden and hot tub.
With Glasgow around 35 minutes away, guests can also choose city accommodation and travel to the estate for the wedding day.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Boturich Castle & Pavilion is fully in-house, giving the wedding day a clear and coordinated structure. The culinary team creates bespoke menus around Scottish produce, with packages typically including a drinks reception with canapés, a three-course wedding breakfast, tea and coffee, and evening food.
Menus can be shaped around the couple’s preferences while drawing on local ingredients such as Scottish beef, lamb, pork, fish, seasonal game and vegetables. Wild garlic and mushrooms may be foraged from the estate, while dairy is sourced from trusted local producers.
The Pavilion’s banqueting kitchen allows food service to feel smooth and well-paced, even for larger guest numbers. Bar service is also handled on site, with flexible arrangements including hosted drinks, token systems, bespoke packages or a paid bar.
The drinks offering includes selected wines, Scottish ales and beers from producers such as Loch Lomond Brewery and WEST Brewery, as well as Scottish gins, vodkas and malt whiskies. The overall feeling is generous, local and designed for a full evening of celebration.
