Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Château de Jalesnes are defined by the range of settings across the estate: chapel, terrace, grove, moat and forest. The options feel distinct rather than interchangeable, moving from formal château architecture to quieter outdoor spaces. The bilingual coordination team supports setup, seating and timing, with ceremony furnishings such as arches, altar tables, plinths and baskets included in wedding packages.
Front Terrace
Set against the Renaissance façade, the terrace has a formal sense of arrival, with views across the French gardens.
Chestnut Grove
A shaded outdoor setting beneath mature trees, bringing a softer and more natural atmosphere to the ceremony.
Dry Moat
A more unusual setting for a ceremony or vin d’honneur, framed by the château’s historic architecture.
Hunting Lodge
Hidden within the forest, this stone lodge gives smaller ceremonies a secluded feeling away from the main house.
Private Chapel
The vaulted chapel seats up to 85 guests and includes stained glass by Bordereau of Angers, a minstrel gallery and a demountable stage.
Outdoor ceremony settings can accommodate up to 180 guests, giving larger weddings enough scale while keeping the estate’s private atmosphere.

Receptions
Receptions at Château de Jalesnes are shaped by the estate’s ability to host the whole celebration on site. Drinks, dinner, dancing, pool gatherings and next-day meals can all take place within the grounds, allowing the wedding to feel like a private house party rather than a single scheduled event.
Inside the château, the interconnecting salons feature parquet floors, fireplaces, chandeliers and large windows overlooking the gardens. Retractable oak partitions allow the rooms to open into a larger gallery for dinner, cocktails or dancing.
Outside, the formal lawns and gardens can host alfresco dinners, live music, open-air concerts or marquee celebrations for up to 180 seated guests. The terrace and heated pool area are well suited to champagne, canapés, relaxed evening moments or next-day pool parties.
The château offers exclusive use, in-house setup and teardown, licensed bar service and no curfew. This gives couples more freedom to plan the pace of the celebration, from a formal dinner in the salons to a late-night party, fireworks or a slower farewell brunch the following day.
Staying on Site
Château de Jalesnes offers on-site accommodation for up to 65 guests across 17 suites. The accommodation is one of the estate’s main strengths, allowing close family and friends to stay within the château for the full wedding experience.
Suites range from studios to spacious three-bedroom apartments. All include fully equipped kitchens, generous bathrooms and super-king beds that can be configured as twins. Many also have living and dining areas, making them practical for families, groups of friends or longer stays.
Les Mariés Suite and Roof-Terrace Suites
These suites offer a more private retreat for the couple, with views over the gardens and Loire countryside.
Larger Apartment Suites
The two- and three-bedroom apartments work well for families or shared guest accommodation, giving groups more space across the stay.
Accessible Suites
Accessible rooms are available, supporting guests with mobility requirements.
For larger wedding parties, the château team can help arrange additional accommodation in nearby Vernantes or Saumur, with transport coordinated where needed.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Château de Jalesnes is shaped around the rhythm of a Loire Valley house party. Rather than focusing only on the wedding banquet, the dining experience can stretch across the full stay: welcome meals, ceremony drinks, the main dinner, late-night food and relaxed breakfasts or brunches.
Couples work with the château’s in-house or recommended catering providers to create seasonal menus using local ingredients. A welcome evening might take the form of a barbecue, paella night, pizza party or regional buffet on the terrace or in the gardens. The wedding dinner is often a served four-course banquet, with options for wine pairings and regional touches such as Loire fish, confit duck, artisan cheeses or French patisserie.
After the ceremony, guests might gather for Crémant de Loire, signature cocktails, canapés or live cooking stations. Later in the evening, midnight snacks and a full bar keep the celebration moving.
The château’s licensed bar includes French wines, Champagne, spirits and custom cocktails, giving couples flexibility without needing to manage drinks separately.
