Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Château de Sanse are shaped by the surrounding landscape: vineyard views, wooded hillsides, garden spaces and the quieter atmosphere of the estate’s private forest. The setting feels calm rather than theatrical, giving ceremonies a sense of privacy without feeling overly formal.
Symbolic and civil ceremonies can be arranged on site, with the venue licensed for marriage. Couples choosing exclusive use for a minimum of three nights also have more time to settle into the estate, making the ceremony feel part of a wider stay rather than a single scheduled moment.
The Gardens
The most natural ceremony setting, with open views across the countryside. It feels relaxed and spacious, suited to couples who want the landscape to frame the ceremony without heavy styling.
The Terrace
A more elevated option, using the château’s panoramic outlook as part of the experience. It works well for ceremonies that move easily into drinks afterwards.
The Private Forest
A quieter, more enclosed setting surrounded by trees. It brings a more intimate, nature-led quality to the ceremony, with a sense of retreat from the main house.
The ceremony spaces all share the same wine-country atmosphere, but each offers a different level of openness, privacy and connection to the château.

Receptions
A wedding at Château de Sanse feels relaxed, generous and gently paced. The estate is well suited to celebrations that unfold over several days, with guests moving between the terrace, gardens, poolside areas, restaurant spaces and lounge bar.
The drinks moment often belongs to the panoramic terrace or poolside, where guests can gather for apéritifs while taking in the surrounding vineyards and wooded hills. It gives the start of the celebration a strong sense of place without feeling too formal.
Dinner can take place outdoors beneath lighting or inside the reception hall, which seats up to 80 guests. The hall connects easily to the outdoor entertaining areas, allowing the evening to move between inside and outside depending on the season, weather and mood of the wedding.
As the night develops, the licensed bar and dance floor bring the celebration into a more lively rhythm. With an early morning curfew, there is room for the evening to build naturally after dinner, without the day feeling rushed. The strength of Château de Sanse is this balance: intimate enough to feel personal, but with enough structure to host a full weekend celebration.
Staying on Site
Château de Sanse offers accommodation for up to 32 guests across 16 individually styled en suite bedrooms. Additional sofa beds and rollaway options can increase the sleeping capacity to 43, making it possible for a larger inner circle to stay on site.
Château Bedrooms
The rooms combine rustic French character with contemporary comfort, each with its own style and en suite bathroom. Two rooms are adapted for guests with reduced mobility.
Preparation Spaces
Couples also have access to dedicated preparation areas, including bridal suites and a Makeup Room, allowing the wedding morning to unfold on site without unnecessary travel.
Guest Stay
Breakfast is included each morning, served in the dining room or on the terrace. Half-board options are also available for guests staying longer, helping the wedding feel more like a relaxed country-house gathering.
For larger guest lists, additional accommodation can be arranged nearby.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Château de Sanse is shaped by its position in French wine country. Led by chef Martial Bonneron, the château’s restaurant focuses on bistronomic cooking rooted in the Gironde region, with seasonal produce, local ingredients and wines from the surrounding vineyards.
The wedding meal can take several forms, from a classic multi-course dinner to a more relaxed banquet, countryside barbecue, poolside lunch or garden picnic. This flexibility is especially useful for multi-day weddings, where each meal can have a different mood without feeling disconnected from the château.
Drinks are a natural part of the experience, with local wines, regional apéritifs, custom cocktails and bar service woven through the weekend. For guests staying several days, half-board options extend the food experience beyond the wedding day, turning breakfasts, lunches and dinners into part of the wider celebration.
The overall feeling is generous and regional: polished enough for a wedding, but still grounded in the pleasures of rural France.
