Finca Son Collell is a historic finca wedding venue in central Mallorca, set above Montuïri with views towards the village and the Serra de Tramuntana. Owned by the Marqueses de la Fontsanta family for generations, it carries the character of a traditional Mallorcan possession: arcaded cloisters, formal gardens, a bougainvillea-covered terrace, and stone architecture shaped by time rather than trend. The venue’s strength is its sense of atmosphere. It offers the privacy and scale of a country estate, with space for up to 180 guests, while still feeling rooted in Mallorca’s landscape and heritage. With limited accommodation on site and strong planning support, it works especially well for couples hosting a destination wedding centred around one highly distinctive estate.

Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Finca Son Collell are defined by architectural character, garden formality, and wide countryside views. The estate is licensed for legal marriages and welcomes both civil and symbolic ceremonies for up to 180 guests, while religious ceremonies can be arranged at nearby historic churches.
The in-house planning and coordination team supports couples from early concept through to the wedding day, including supplier recommendations, schedules, logistics, layouts, and day-of coordination. A rain contingency plan is also available, with a pavilion tent for weather protection.
El Arado
A serene, well-proportioned ceremony space designed around a symbolic altar, giving the ceremony a clear focal point without feeling overly formal.
The Formal Gardens
A more structured setting, with fountains, clipped greenery, and manicured borders creating a classic garden atmosphere.
The Bougainvillea Terrace
One of the finca’s most recognisable spaces, set against the flowering façade and shaped by the texture of the historic architecture.
Each option brings a different tone: garden-led, architectural, or more quietly enclosed within the estate’s landscape.

Receptions
Receptions at Finca Son Collell are shaped less by spectacle and more by atmosphere: the quiet formality of the gardens, the texture of the stone architecture, and the way the estate opens towards the Mallorcan countryside. It is a venue where the setting gives the celebration its character, rather than relying on heavy production.
The Bougainvillea Terrace is the natural centre of the evening, with its flowering façade creating a strong visual frame for dinner. Around it, the gardens, Veranda, Clastra, and outdoor party area allow the celebration to spread and shift in tone, from open-air drinks to a more intimate late-night rhythm.
The estate supports weddings of up to 180 guests, with licensed bar service, tailored lighting, and open-air or tented layouts available. The in-house planning and coordination team brings experience in shaping the estate around each event, from larger destination weddings to more restrained gatherings where the architecture and landscape do most of the work.
Staying on Site
Accommodation at Finca Son Collell is intentionally limited. The estate offers one private suite for the couple, creating a quiet space for getting ready, retreating after the wedding, and spending the night on the property.
The suite is light-filled and peaceful, with views across the gardens and surrounding countryside. It can be reserved for day use and overnight stays, with breakfast included.
For guests, accommodation is arranged nearby rather than across the estate itself. Son Collell’s central Mallorca location gives wedding parties access to hotels and stays in Palma, Montuïri, and the surrounding countryside, with the venue team able to assist with local recommendations and arrangements.
This makes the finca feel less like a resort-style wedding venue and more like a private event estate: the celebration happens at Son Collell, while the wider wedding weekend can be shaped around Mallorca.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Finca Son Collell is caterer-led, with dining overseen by Exclusive Catering. Their approach combines Mallorcan produce and Mediterranean foundations with South American and Asian influences, giving the food a more contemporary profile than a purely traditional island menu.
Menus are bespoke and shaped around the tone of the celebration, from open-air banquets beneath the stars to relaxed buffets, cocktail receptions, and creative small plates. The culinary team works closely with couples to tailor the dining experience rather than forcing the day into a fixed format.
The setting plays a major role in how the food is experienced. Dinner on the terrace, drinks in the gardens, and bar service flowing into the evening all make the meal feel part of the estate rather than a separate production.
The licensed bar can include curated wines, cocktails, and open bar service, adapted to the rhythm of the event.
