Set in the countryside just outside Llucmajor, Finca Son Sampol is a 14th-century Mallorcan estate shaped by family history and the landscape around it. Still owned and run by the same family, it offers a setting that feels both expansive and personal—where weddings unfold across gardens, courtyards, and shaded woodland. Located in the Migjorn region of Mallorca, the finca retains its original structure as a traditional “possessió,” with stone buildings, olive groves, and open land defining the experience. Available on an exclusive-use basis, it suits celebrations that move at their own pace, with space to gather, dine, and celebrate across multiple settings.

Ceremonies

Ceremonies at Son Sampol are woven into the landscape of the estate, with each setting offering a different sense of scale and atmosphere. The team works closely with couples to shape the layout and flow of the day, ensuring each space feels considered without overworking it.

There is a choice of distinct ceremony locations across the finca.

Es Pinar

A shaded pine forest planted by the owners’ family, offering a natural canopy and space for larger ceremonies. The setting feels expansive while still grounded in the landscape.

Es Pinaret

A smaller grove centred around an olive tree, suited to more intimate ceremonies. The scale here is quieter, with a closer connection between guests and setting.

Es Pati

An enclosed courtyard framed by traditional buildings and Mediterranean planting. This space introduces a more architectural backdrop while remaining open-air.

Es Celler

A former wine cellar with vaulted ceilings, offering an indoor alternative with a more enclosed, atmospheric feel.

The variety of spaces allows ceremonies to shift in tone depending on guest numbers, season, and time of day.

Receptions

Receptions at Son Sampol move across the estate rather than settling in a single space, with each part of the evening unfolding in a different setting.

Following the ceremony, cocktails are often held beneath the pines or around the courtyard, where guests gather in shaded areas before moving into the evening. As the light softens, the celebration transitions towards the main dining spaces.

Dinner is typically hosted in Es Jardí, a wide lawn that allows for long tables under open skies. The setting is simple but expansive, with enough room to shape the layout without losing the atmosphere of the estate.

For covered options, the Bedouin tents—Es Capell and Es Capellet—introduce structure without closing off the space, offering flexibility while maintaining an outdoor feel.

As the evening progresses, celebrations shift again. The pool area provides a more relaxed setting for drinks or smaller gatherings, while Es Magatzem, a fully air-conditioned interior space, is designed for music and dancing later into the night.

The result is a celebration that evolves naturally, with each space playing a distinct role.

Staying on Site

The estate sleeps up to 16 guests across four elegant suites, each designed to reflect the traditional Mallorcan way of living with the comfort of modern amenities:

  • Mallorca Suite: 82m² suite with bedroom, spacious living room, large bathroom, and a private terrace overlooking Es Pati.
  • Gràcia Suite: 39m² with double bedroom, small lounge, bathroom, and a 30m² private terrace near Es Magatzem.
  • Cabrera Suite: 39m² with bedroom, living area with sofa, bathroom, and a 28m² terrace and 20m² porch.
  • Pinaret Suite: 42m² with double bedroom, dressing area, bathroom, and direct access to Es Pinaret garden with a 15m² terrace.

Each suite is individually styled with a mix of restored family heirlooms and soft, contemporary touches. For larger groups, additional accommodation can be arranged nearby in Llucmajor or across the island, allowing guests to stay close while keeping the estate itself more private.

Food & Atmosphere

Food at Son Sampol is shaped through collaboration rather than a fixed in-house offering. The estate works with a curated group of local chefs and catering teams, allowing each menu to reflect the couple, the season, and the setting.

Dining often leans towards Mediterranean and Mallorcan influences—shared plates, fresh produce, and menus designed to suit outdoor service. Long-table dinners in the garden, smaller plates in the courtyard, or more informal poolside meals can all be woven into the celebration.

Couples are able to bring their own wines and spirits, with service managed through the venue’s trusted partners. Drinks move with the flow of the day—from pre-ceremony aperitifs to evening cocktails and late-night pours—without feeling fixed to one location.

The approach is flexible but considered, with the focus on atmosphere as much as the menu itself.
