Hospes Maricel & Spa is a seafront wedding venue in Mallorca, set just outside Palma with terraces that open directly onto the Mediterranean. The hotel combines two distinct architectural moods: the Palace Building, inspired by 16th- and 17th-century noble residences, and the contemporary Natura Building, where stone, wood and light create a calmer, more modern retreat. Weddings here are defined by proximity to the sea, with ceremonies, drinks and dinners shaped by the sound, light and horizon of the coastline. With 51 rooms and suites, spa facilities and event spaces for up to 170 guests, it suits couples who want a polished hotel experience without losing the feeling of the island.

Weddings & settings

Ceremonies

Ceremonies at Hospes Maricel & Spa are defined by the hotel’s relationship with the Mediterranean. The strongest settings are those that keep the sea close, whether through an open terrace, a poolside space or a salon with architectural detail and natural light. Symbolic and civil-style ceremonies can be arranged on site, with the hotel team supporting layout, service and practical coordination.

Seafront Terrace

The terrace is the hotel’s most distinctive ceremony setting, positioned above the water with open views across the Mediterranean. It has a direct, coastal quality that needs little decoration beyond considered florals, seating and light.

Interior Salons

For smaller ceremonies or weather planning, the hotel’s salons offer high ceilings, historic features and a more enclosed atmosphere. They bring the Palace Building’s character into the ceremony without feeling overly formal.

Gardens and Poolside Areas

Outdoor spaces beside the gardens or pool offer a softer, more relaxed alternative. These settings work well for smaller ceremonies, symbolic moments or celebrations that lean into the hotel’s resort-style rhythm.

The ceremony experience here is strongest when the styling stays restrained, allowing the architecture and sea views to carry the atmosphere.

Receptions

Receptions at Hospes Maricel & Spa are shaped by the movement between terrace, dining room and evening space. The setting works especially well for weddings where the sea remains part of the experience throughout the day, from the first drinks to the final moments of the evening.

Cocktails and canapés are often served on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, before guests move into one of the hotel’s dining or event spaces for a seated wedding banquet. The hotel can host celebrations of up to 170 guests, with the event team supporting layout, service and supplier coordination.

The Natura and indoor event spaces provide room for dinner, music and dancing, with sound, lighting and staging options for bands or DJs. Curfew restrictions apply, so the evening is best planned with clear transitions between dinner, dancing and later drinks.

For multi-day weddings, the hotel also works well for pre-wedding cocktails, poolside lunches, spa time and a slower breakfast the following morning, keeping the celebration contained without feeling overly scheduled.

Staying on Site

Hospes Maricel & Spa offers 51 rooms and suites, accommodating up to 102 guests. Accommodation is split between the Palace Building and the Natura Building, giving guests a choice between more traditional seafront character and a quieter contemporary setting.

Palace Building Rooms and Suites

These rooms include categories such as Dreamer’s Palace, Deluxe Sea View and Sea View Suites. Many offer sea or mountain views, Mediterranean-inspired interiors, spacious bathrooms and contemporary art.

Presidential Suite

The hotel’s most expansive suite includes a large living room, a 60-square-metre private terrace with panoramic sea views and additional touches such as champagne on arrival.

Natura Rooms and Suites

The Natura Building has a more contemporary feel, with native stone walls, wooden floors and access to an exterior Zen pool. Sea views are not guaranteed, but the atmosphere is calm and design-led.

Natura Grand Suite and Family Room

The Natura Grand Suite offers 88 square metres of space, with a private terrace and pool. The Natura Family Room combines two adjoining rooms, giving families or small groups more privacy and flexibility.

For larger weddings, additional accommodation can be arranged in Palma and along the surrounding coast, with transfers available to keep guests connected to the hotel.

Food & Atmosphere

Food at Hospes Maricel & Spa is shaped by Mallorca: seafood, citrus, olive oil, seasonal produce and the relaxed formality of dining by the sea. The hotel’s gastronomy is one of its main strengths, giving weddings a dining experience that feels connected to the island rather than simply hotel-led.

A wedding meal might begin with cava and canapés on the terrace before moving into a five-course seated dinner. Menus can also be adapted into longer tasting formats, tapas-style receptions or more relaxed Mallorcan feasts, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.

Beyond the wedding day, food can become part of the wider stay. The hotel is known for its long-format breakfast experience, while the Pool Bar and Cocktail Bar offer lighter lunches, drinks, aperitifs and nightcaps overlooking the sea.

The atmosphere is polished but coastal: refined service, Mediterranean flavours and enough flexibility to let the celebration feel like Mallorca, not just a hotel banquet.
