Masía Aldamar is a restored 17th-century wedding venue in Chiva, just outside Valencia, surrounded by citrus groves, farmland and the agricultural landscape that has shaped the estate for centuries. Its defining quality is heritage with working-land depth: this is a former country inn, vineyard, oil mill and citrus farm, now reimagined as a private event estate. The venue is available only on an exclusive-hire basis, giving each wedding full privacy across the house, gardens, courtyards and indoor spaces. Managed by Grupo El Alto, it is designed for larger celebrations, with a minimum of 100 guests and capacity for up to 400.

Ceremonies

Ceremonies at Masía Aldamar are defined by the estate’s layered architecture and agricultural setting. The spaces feel flexible rather than formulaic, moving between gardens, stone courtyards and historic interiors, with each option offering a different relationship to the building and its grounds.

Grupo El Alto manages planning, hospitality and on-the-day delivery, supporting couples with schedule, suppliers, layout, lighting, music and guest flow.

The Gardens

Open and landscaped, the gardens offer a softer outdoor setting for vows. The atmosphere feels relaxed and spacious, with the surrounding farmland giving the ceremony a clear sense of place.

Cobblestone Courtyard

A more architectural setting within the estate, where stone underfoot and historic walls bring the ceremony closer to Masía Aldamar’s past. It feels contained, textured and naturally atmospheric.

Indoor Spaces

Light-filled interiors provide a reliable alternative for cooler or wet weather. These spaces keep the ceremony connected to the estate’s historic character while offering more shelter and structure.

The tower suite gives the couple a private place to get ready on site, keeping the build-up to the ceremony calm and close to the rest of the day.

Receptions

A wedding at Masía Aldamar has a generous, estate-style flow, built for large gatherings that move easily between gardens, courtyards and indoor halls. The experience feels rooted in place rather than overly polished, with citrus, olive trees, stonework and historic agricultural buildings shaping the atmosphere.

Cocktails work naturally in the gardens or Patio de los Olivos, where guests can gather outdoors before dinner. These spaces give the early part of the celebration a social, open-air rhythm, with room for lounge areas, drinks and slower movement across the estate.

Dinner can take place in the Patio de los Olivos for an outdoor meal beneath the night sky, or inside Casa del Agua, a newly inaugurated indoor venue with beamed ceilings and generous natural light. For larger weddings, the Main Hall accommodates up to 400 guests, with space for seated dining and dancing.

As the evening continues, the celebration can remain centralised indoors or move between the courtyard and hall depending on the season and layout. Fireworks are permitted, adding a more dramatic close to an otherwise grounded, heritage-led setting.

Staying on Site

Accommodation at Masía Aldamar is limited and reserved for the couple and their families. The main house has six double rooms, sleeping up to 12 guests, which gives the closest group a private base within the estate.

Main House Rooms

The six rooms have been restored with a restrained approach, allowing the historic features of the house to remain visible. They are suited to immediate family or key members of the wedding party rather than the full guest list.

Tower Suite

The bridal suite is set within the estate’s tower, offering an atmospheric private space for getting ready before the ceremony or stepping away after the celebration.

Masía Aldamar is not a hotel, but a dedicated exclusive-use event venue. For wider guest accommodation, the venue can provide a curated list of nearby hotels and guesthouses, helping couples coordinate stays in and around Valencia.

Food & Atmosphere

Food at Masía Aldamar is place-led, shaped by Grupo El Alto’s regional roots and the estate’s agricultural history. Menus draw on Mediterranean rhythms, local produce, estate-grown citrus and freshly pressed olive oil, giving the dining experience a clear connection to Valencia.

The format can be adapted to the scale and mood of the wedding. Couples might choose a multi-course meal in the Main Hall, a garden banquet with Valencian rice dishes and grilled vegetables, or an outdoor dinner in the Patio de los Olivos.

The estate’s historic cellar adds another layer to the food experience, with tastings and pairings framed by barrels and stone walls. Wine and olive oil tastings can also be built into the wider celebration weekend, connecting guests to the estate’s former life as a vineyard and oil mill.

From the first toast to the final glass of cava, the food here is not simply a service element. It is part of the venue’s identity.
