Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Scorrier House are shaped by the contrast between the Georgian interiors and the estate’s gardens. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies and welcomes same-sex marriages, with indoor and outdoor options available across the house and grounds. On-the-day coordination is included, helping the ceremony move naturally into drinks, dinner and the rest of the celebration.
The Grand Hall
Centred around a sweeping double staircase, classical columns and high ceilings, the Grand Hall accommodates up to 120 guests. It is the house’s strongest architectural ceremony setting, with a clear sense of arrival.
The Drawing Room
A more intimate indoor option for up to 80 guests, with a stucco ceiling and large bay window bringing softness and natural light into the space.
The Conservatory
Designed for very small ceremonies of up to eight guests, the Conservatory offers a quiet setting among exotic plants and fruit trees.
The Gardens and Walled Spaces
Outdoor ceremonies take place among mature trees, botanical planting and garden views, with the Orangery and surrounding garden areas especially suited to spring and summer.

Receptions
Receptions at Scorrier House are defined by the ability to move between house and grounds while keeping the estate private for the wedding party. Drinks might begin on the lawn overlooking the parkland before guests move indoors for dinner, or into a marquee if the celebration needs more space or weather flexibility.
The principal rooms can host seated dining for up to 120 guests together, while the wider estate accommodates events of up to 160. Couples choose from an approved list of caterers and can shape layouts, styling and service around the tone of the day.
After dinner, dancing often takes place in the Drawing Room, with space for a live band or DJ. The adjoining Bar Room offers a quieter place for guests to gather, overlooking the gardens, while the Conservatory adds extra flow and light between spaces.
The standard hire period runs until midnight, with the option to extend to 1am. Fireworks are permitted, and celebrations can continue the following day with brunch or lunch in the house or grounds.
Staying on Site
Scorrier House offers on-site accommodation for up to 22 guests across 11 bedrooms, split between the main house and converted stables. Five bedrooms in the principal house are included for two nights, with breakfast, giving the couple and closest guests a private base at the centre of the estate.
Main House Bedrooms
The main house includes three double rooms and two twin rooms, suited to the couple, immediate family or wedding party.
Converted Stables
A further five en-suite rooms sit within the former stables, adding more guest accommodation close to the house.
The stable complex includes a large kitchen and enclosed cobbled courtyard, which works well for informal breakfasts, relaxed dinners or pre-wedding gatherings. An adjoining stable barn can host barbecues or post-wedding parties.
Guests staying on site can also use the outdoor swimming pool and wood-fired sauna, giving the weekend a more retreat-like rhythm between wedding events.

Food & Atmosphere
Food at Scorrier House is supplier-led, giving couples flexibility while keeping a clear planning structure. The venue works with an approved list of caterers across different styles and budgets, so the meal can be shaped around the couple’s preferred atmosphere.
The format might be a formal plated dinner, relaxed sharing feast, seasonal banquet, barbecue, food truck concept or something more informal across the weekend. Couples coordinate menu details, furniture, crockery, cutlery and service style directly with their chosen caterer, supported by the venue’s recommended supplier network.
A fully stocked and staffed licensed bar is included, along with glassware. This gives the drinks service a dependable structure while still allowing the food experience to feel personal to the celebration.
The overall atmosphere is private, flexible and grounded in the estate: drinks on the lawn, dinner in the house or marquee, then a party that feels connected to the setting rather than imposed on it.
