Ceremonies

Ceremonies at Villa Ravano are shaped by the contrast between the estate’s private chapel and its open garden setting. The venue offers both religious and symbolic possibilities, allowing couples to choose between a traditional Catholic ceremony or a more relaxed outdoor exchange framed by the villa grounds.

Private Consecrated Chapel

The on-site chapel is reserved for Catholic ceremonies, giving the wedding a more traditional and intimate religious setting without needing to leave the estate.

The Gardens

For symbolic or non-religious ceremonies, the gardens offer an open-air setting with citrus trees, flowers and views across the Tuscan landscape. The space accommodates up to 120 guests and gives the ceremony a softer, more natural rhythm.

Indoor Ceremony Spaces

For smaller ceremonies of up to 80 guests, the villa’s interiors provide a sheltered alternative. These spaces work especially well in cooler weather or when the day calls for a more enclosed atmosphere.

The strength of Villa Ravano is that the ceremony does not feel detached from the rest of the celebration. Whether inside, in the chapel or outdoors, each setting remains closely connected to the villa itself.

Receptions

A wedding at Villa Ravano feels relaxed, generous and house-like, with the celebration moving naturally between the gardens, courtyard, poolside spaces and historic interiors.

After the ceremony, guests can gather in the gravel courtyard or on the garden terraces for aperitivo. These spaces bring people close to the architecture of the villa, creating an easy first drinks moment before the reception begins.

Dinner is usually held outdoors, with space for up to 120 guests. Banquet-style tables work well here, allowing the meal to feel social and connected to the surrounding gardens rather than overly formal. As the light changes, the villa’s setting gives the evening a classic Tuscan atmosphere without needing excessive styling.

Later, the celebration can shift poolside for cocktails and dancing. After midnight, the party moves indoors to the villa’s dining rooms and lounges, allowing the evening to continue in a more enclosed, atmospheric setting. The overall flow feels practical but still romantic: a countryside estate designed for a full day of gathering, eating and celebration.

Staying on Site

Villa Ravano offers accommodation for up to 32 guests across 16 bedrooms, with the option to add four extra beds on request. The layout works well for couples who want close family, friends or the wedding party to stay together on the estate.

Villa Bedrooms

The bedrooms are spread across three levels and combine historic character with modern comfort. Many spaces reflect the villa’s traditional atmosphere, with countryside views and access to the wider house.

Shared Living Spaces

Guests also have use of the villa’s communal areas, including a large dining room, kitchen, living spaces, reading rooms, fireplaces and a first-floor lounge. A sunny terrace looks towards the Lucca mountains and San Giuliano Terme.

Nearby Accommodation

For larger weddings, additional guests can stay in nearby hotels and guest houses recommended locally, keeping the wider party within easy reach of the estate.

The accommodation makes Villa Ravano feel less like a one-day venue and more like a private Tuscan base for the people closest to the celebration.

Food & Atmosphere

Food at Villa Ravano is led by in-house chefs Monica and Michela, giving the dining experience a personal, host-led quality. The approach is rooted in Italian cooking, with seasonal produce, homemade pasta and locally sourced ingredients shaping the menu.

Meals can move with the rhythm of the stay, from slower breakfasts in the villa to aperitivo in the gardens and a wedding banquet beneath the open sky. Couples may choose a traditional Tuscan feast, a plated dinner or a more relaxed al fresco buffet, depending on the tone of the event.

The villa’s dining rooms also offer an indoor setting for smaller meals or late-night dining, while the estate’s barbecue facilities allow for more informal moments such as pizza evenings. Italian wines and bespoke pairings can be arranged, alongside touches such as gelato stations for the evening.

The feeling is warm and generous rather than overly polished — food as part of the estate’s hospitality, not just the wedding schedule.
