Villa Rossi

Villa Rossi carries its history in colour and surface. Just outside Lucca, the Renaissance villa opens onto a walled park, its restrained façade giving little away about the rooms within. Inside, frescoes climb across walls and vaulted ceilings: mythological figures, pastoral scenes, soft pinks and faded gold. Downstairs, a long painted loggia looks towards lawns, mature trees and a lotus pond.
