Mediterranean Light at Rocabella Santorini

Photographed by Marius Migleș

There’s something about Santorini in October. The crowds thin, the light turns golden, and the island seems to breathe a little slower. It’s this softer, quieter version of the Cycladic icon that photographer Marius Migles stepped into for what he calls “one of the most breathtaking styled shoots I’ve ever been part of.”

Set at Rocabella Santorini — a clifftop venue with crisp white walls and endless Aegean views — the editorial unfolded with the kind of ease that can’t be forced. Designed by Pia & Pia of Wedding Planner Greece, the styling leaned into simplicity: natural textures, sunwashed tones, and a layout that felt intentional without being overly polished. “Every detail was brought to life with effortless sophistication,” Marius shares. “The entire day felt elevated, but still relaxed.”

Izzy and Dan brought warmth and spontaneity to the day. They weren’t playing a part — just being themselves, laughing between shots, dancing barefoot around a champagne tower. “They were absolute magic,” says Marius. “Effortlessly stylish, fully present, and genuinely having the time of their lives.”

A vintage white Porsche from Motor Club Santorini became the unexpected highlight — a playful contrast to the minimal setting. Parked just off the edge of the terrace, it set the tone for a series of images that feel cinematic without trying to be. “The sun, the sea, and the car — the perfect Mediterranean trio,” Marius adds.

This wasn’t a traditional wedding, or even a typical styled shoot. It was something looser, more editorial in spirit. A celebration of place, light, and the in-between moments. As Marius put it: “It wasn’t just a shoot — it felt like a celebration of love, light, and the unique beauty of Santorini.”
